Abstract: PURPOSE: A low-speed power line communication device and a method for connecting a bridge with an IP-based network are provided to connect to a control server connected to a household appliance device and control the state and operation of the household appliance device using a power line communication. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether a control client connects to a control server(S30). If the control client connects to the control server, a certain module for controlling a household appliance device is downloaded(S40), and a TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) connection from the control client is performed(S50). If data are inputted from the household appliance device through a power line communication(S60), the inputted data are transmitted to the control client through a TCP/IP communication(S70). If the data are inputted from the control client through the TCP/IP communication(S80), the input data are transmitted to the household appliance device through the power line communication(S90).
