Abstract: An electronic ballast for a high voltage sodium lamp is provided to improve an input power factor by maintaining outputs from the ballast and the lamp at a constant value. An input filter(10) removes a noise from an applied voltage. A rectifier(20) includes a diode bridge and rectifies the applied voltage. A filter(30) is connected to the rectifier and suppresses harmonics from a power factor improving circuit/constant voltage portion. The power factor improving circuit/constant voltage portion(40a) maintains an input voltage at a constant level. A control voltage supply portion(40b) is connected to the power factor improving circuit/constant voltage portion and supplies a control voltage during start-up of a sodium lamp. A controller(50) includes an oscillator chip for controlling a ballast. A DC/AC converter(60) converts the rectified DC voltage to an AC voltage. An output portion(70) outputs the AC voltage to a lamp, which is included in a lamp portion(80).

Abstract: 본 발명은 가스 방전 램프용 전자식 안정기의 안정화 제어 회로에 관한 것으로서, 가스 방전 램프의 안정기에서 제어부를 구성하는 오실레이터칩의 입력단자에 정주파수 연속 가변 전압을 발생시킬 수 있는 가변 전압 발생기를 연결하여, 상기 가변 전압 발생기에 의해 안정기 제어부의 오실레이터칩에 연속 가변 전압이 인가될 수 있도록 함으로써, 오실레이터칩의 출력 주파수가 연속적으로 가변될 수 있도록 하고, 이를 통해 공진회로에서 공급되는 전류(Id)가 변화될 수 있도록 하며, 가스 방전 램프에서의 방전 파워 및 등가 저항이 동시에 변화될 수 있도록 한 가스 방전 램프용 전자식 안정기의 안정화 제어 회로에 관한 것이다.
이러한 본 발명의 안정화 제어 회로에 의하면, 가스 방전 램프의 방전상태가 안정화될 수 있고, 종래와 같은 가스 방전 램프의 음향 공명 현상 및 깜박임 현상을 효과적으로 방지할 수 있게 된다.

이를 위하여 상기 고압 나트륨램프용 전자식 안정기는 인가되는 전압에 전자회로에서 발생하는 노이즈가 유입되는 것을 방지하는 입력필터부(10); 상기 입력필터부(10)를 통과한 입력전압을 정류하여 직류전압으로 변환하기 위한 브릿지 다이오드로 이루어진 정류부(20); 상기 정류부(20)에 연결되어 역률개선회로 및 정전압부(40)에서 발생하는 고주파를 제거하는 필터(30); 역률을 개선하고 입력전압을 일정하게 유지시키는 역류개선회로 및 정전압부(40a); 상기 역률개선회로 및 정전압부에 연결되어 기동시 회로의 제어전원을 공급하는 기동시 제어전원 공급부(40b); 안정기의 제어를 위한 오실레이터칩(U51)을 포함하는 제어부(50); 상기 정류된 직류전압을 교류전압으로 변환시키는 DC/AC변환부(60); 상기 DC/AC변환부(60)에서 변환된 교류전압을 램프(80)로 출력시키는 출력부(70); 및 램프(LP81)를 포함하여 구성된 램프부(80)로 이루어진다.

Abstract: A control circuit of electronic ballast for a gas discharge lamp is provided to stabilize a discharge state of a gas discharge lamp by changing a discharge power and equivalent resistance of the gas discharge lamp at the same time. A variable voltage generator(52) includes a square wave generating part(52a) and a charge/discharge circuit part(52b). The square wave generating part generates a square wave of a constant frequency. The charge/discharge circuit part is connected to an input terminal of an oscillator chip(51). The charge/discharge circuit part converts a voltage waveform of the square wave into a continuously variable voltage waveform. The charge/discharge circuit part includes a resistor and a capacitor. A voltage signal of the square wave generating part is applied to the resistor. The capacitor is connected between the resistor and a ground terminal.

Abstract: An electronic ballast for a metal halide lamp is provided to improve a light quality by uniformly maintaining an output of a stabilizer and a lamp irrespective of an input change. An electronic ballast for a metal halide lamp includes a rectifier unit(20), a constant voltage unit(400), a first control unit(500), a constant current unit(600), a second control unit(700), a DC/AC conversion unit(800), and an output unit(900). The rectifier unit generates and converts an input voltage into a DC voltage. The constant voltage unit is coupled to a rectifier unit, and uniformly maintains the DC voltage. The constant current unit is coupled to the constant voltage unit and generates a constant current. The DC/AC conversion unit is coupled to the constant current unit and converts the constant current into an AC power. The output unit outputs the AC voltage converted from the DC/AC conversion unit to a lamp(1000). The first control unit is coupled to the constant voltage unit, and supplies and controls the power to a control circuit. The second control unit is coupled to the constant current unit and the DC/AC conversion unit. The second control unit measures an output voltage of the constant current unit, and has a constant voltage control function for preventing an over-voltage generated by an error of a lamp or a deterioration of a lamp.
