Abstract: PURPOSE: A dimming device of ballast for driving a surface light source is provided to easily perform digital dimming by using a photocoupler and an FET for signals. CONSTITUTION: A dimming device formed in ballast of a surface light source includes a dimming part. The dimming part includes FETs for signals, resistors, and photocouplers. The resistors are serially connected to the FETs for signals. The photocouplers deliver an external signal to a gate of the FET for signals, are electrically connected to a power factor corrector of the ballast, and perform illuminance control of 2N step by controlling an output voltage of the power factor corrector.

Abstract: An apparatus for protecting a converter is provided to prevent an operation area of the converter from being shifted from zero-voltage switching domain to zero-current switching domain. In an apparatus for protecting a converter, a sensing unit(20) senses the output voltage(VO) and output current(IO) of the converter(10). A processing unit(30) processes an output current and output voltage and generates a processing voltage(VT) and a processing electric current(IT). A phase comparator(40) compares the phase of the processing voltage with that of the processing current, outputs a reference value(Q). A controller(50) controls the operation of converter according to the reference value.

Abstract: 빠른응답시간으로 AC 피크전압을검출하는교류전압피크치검출장치가개시된다. 교류전압피크치검출장치는전파정류회로, 피크전압검출회로, 버퍼회로및 피크전압추정회로를포함한다. 전파정류회로는외부로부터정방향과부방향의 AC 입력전압을입력받아부방향의순간값까지정방향의전압으로변환하여전파정류전압을출력한다. 피크전압검출회로는전파정류회로로부터출력되는전파정류전압을충/방전하여피크전압을검출한다. 버퍼회로는피크전압검출회로로부터피크전압을버퍼링하여 DC 출력전압을출력한다. 피크전압추정회로는 AC 입력전압의상승또는하강시빠른응답시간으로피크전압을검출하기위해, 전파정류회로에서출력되는전파정류전압과버퍼회로에서출력되는 DC 출력전압을근거로피크전압검출회로에서출력되는피크전압을추정한다. 이에따라, AC 입력전압의상승시뿐만아니라, 감소시에도피크전압을빠른응답시간내에검출할수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for detecting an AC voltage peak value is provided to implement a system with low costs by detecting a peak voltage in the rising and falling of an AC input voltage at fast response time. CONSTITUTION: A full wave rectifier circuit(110) receives an AC input voltage of a positive direction and a negative direction from the outside, converts the instantaneous value of the backward direction into the voltage of a forward direction, and outputs a full-wave rectification voltage. A peak voltage detecting circuit(120) detects the peak voltage by charging or discharging the full-wave voltage from the full-wave rectifier circuit. A buffer circuit(130) buffers the peak voltage from the peak voltage detecting circuit and outputs a DC output voltage. A peak voltage estimating circuit(140) estimates the peak voltage of the peak voltage detecting circuit based on the full-wave rectification voltage of the full-wave rectifier circuit and the DC output voltage of the buffer circuit.
