Abstract: Disclosed is a molten carbonate fuel cell capable of preventing the leakage of a fuel gas due to deterioration of material by suppressing a high temperature generated at a hot section within a unit cell, thereby improving the reliability thereof. The present invention provides a molten carbonate fuel cell including a plurality of stacked unit cells 8 , and separator plates 3 interposed between the adjacent unit cells, the respective unit cells having porous fuel electrode plates 9 a and 9 b, air electrode plates 11 a and 11 b, and electrolyte plates 10 interposed between these electrode plates; wherein the separator plate 3 forming a body 1 of the unit cell 8 is provided with at a center thereof intake internal manifolds 12 a and 13 a arranged at regular intervals for taking in fuel gas R and oxidant gas O towards a center of the body, and at both sides thereof exhaust internal manifolds 12 b , 12 c , 13 b and 13 c for exhausting the reacted fuel gas R and the reacted oxidant gas O, as well as forming passages for the fuel gas R ad the oxidant gas O at both sides thereof.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a fused carbonate type fuel cell which controls a high temperature generated from unit cell, prevents the leakage of fuel cell due to degradation of raw material, and thus shows high reliability. CONSTITUTION: The fuel cell comprising plurality of unit cell(8) laminated with each other(wherein, the unit cell comprising an electrolyte plate(10), electrode plate for porous fuel poles and air poles(9a,9b,11a,11b), and a separator(3)), is characterized in that internal input manifolds(12a,13a) are positioned at the separator(3) in body(1) of the unit cell(8) so that fuel gas(R) and oxidant gas(O) are introduced into the center of the separator(3); channels for fuel gas(R) and oxidant gas(O) are positioned at both sides of the separator(3); and also, internal output manifolds(12b,12c,13b,13c) are positioned at both sides of the separator(3) so that reacted fuel gas(R) and oxidant gas(O) are vented.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A current collection plate for a separation plate of a molten carbonate salt fuel cell is provided, to improve the stability of long-termed operation of a fuel cell stack by controlling the flowing pressure difference according to the difference of gas flux of an anode and a cathode during operation with maintaining the basic shape of a separation plate used to the stack, and to enable the reaction gas delivery area to be controlled according to the characteristic of materials of an anode and a cathode. CONSTITUTION: The current collection plate comprises a positive electrode current collection plate and a negative electrode current collection plate containing slots(100) where positive electrode gas and negative electrode gas flow, wherein slots(100) of the same shape are arranged to be cross with slots(100') to allow the flow of the negative electrode gas to be controlled by the arrangement of slots(100, 100') in the negative electrode current collector plate(102), and to form a negative electrode current collector plate(102) of the cross-shaped arrangement.
