Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method of allocating a multicast route for a service sensitive to delay in an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) communication network is provided to allocate a route using a virtual path(VP) branching node when the multicast route is assigned in the ATM communication network, so as to improve usage efficiency of a link, and to retrieve a VP branching node having a minimum delay relating to network nodes in an initialization process to designate the VP branching node, then to allocate a minimal cost of route instead of an economic route relating to a group member exceeding a maximum permissible delay relating to a searched VP tree route, so as to reduce a processing complexity. CONSTITUTION: An asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) communication network inputs physical network configuring information to make out a physical network configuring table, and makes out a virtual path(VP) branching node table. The system finds a minimal cost connection route from a multicast group configuring request, and integrates VP branching nodes. The system allocates a minimal delay route and informs a source node of a route allocating result. The step of making out the VP branching node table comprises as follows. The ATM communication system configures a subnet connected to a VP branching node from the physical network configuring table. The system searches a minimal delay route between the VP branching node and all the nodes connected to the subnet. The system calculates an average delay and a cost value relating to a searched connection route, and records the calculated average delay and the cost value. The system decides whether route retrievals relating to all routes are completed. If not, the system performs from the step of searching the minimal delay route. If the route retrievals are completed, the system decides whether retrievals relating to all the VP branching nodes are completed. If not, the system performs from the step of configuring the subnet. If the retrievals are completed, the system sorts retrieval results relating to user connection nodes, and stores the sorted results.
Abstract:
A method and a device for supporting user mobility by allowing guest access in the Internet service network, and a billing method based on the same are provided to support the user mobility in the Internet service network by allowing the guest access and enabling the user to receive a service packet in a remote place, as a plurality of user IDs are assigned to one service line. A service controller(14) assigns the user IDs to one service line and manages the assigned user IDs. If the user ID is inputted, the service controller determines whether the connected user is a host user or a guest user by searching a user database(18) simultaneously while performing user authentication. In case of the guest user, the service controller determines whether a separate bandwidth can be assigned to the guest user by searching the user database. If the separate bandwidth can be assigned, the service controller provides a service package mapped to the guest user by searching the user database. The service controller includes a policy server(15), an authentication server(16), a DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server(17) for assigning an IP(Internet Protocol), and the user database.

PURPOSE: A call setting up method between an ATM public network and a private network using an extended address is provided to minimize an overhead by extending an ATM name server to comprise public network address information in one host name. CONSTITUTION: A call setting up method between an ATM public network and a private network using an extended address comprises the steps of a confirmation process, a question process, a transmission process, and a setting up process. The confirmation process is to confirm an address of a receiving ATM terminal is stored in a cache of a transmitting ATM terminal, or not. The question process is to ask a name of the receiving ATM terminal to an ATM name server. The transmission process is to transmit extended address information of the receiving ATM terminal to the transmitting ATM terminal. The setting process is to set a call according to the address form.

본 발명은 하나의 가입자회선에 복수의 가입자 ID를 허용하고 관리할 수 있도록 함으로써 게스트 액세스를 허용할 수 있도록 하여 인터넷 서비스 사용자의 이동성을 지원하는 방법 및 장치와 이를 기반으로 하는 과금 방법에 관한 것으로, 가입자 ID가 입력되면 사용자 인증을 수행하는 동시에 가입자 DB를 조회하여 접속된 사용자가 호스트 사용자인지 게스트 사용자인지 판단한 다음, 게스트 사용자를 위해 별도의 대역폭 할당이 가능한 경우 상기 가입자 DB를 조회하여 게스트 사용자에게 매핑된 서비스 패키지를 제공하며, 상기 가입자 ID를 기반으로 상기 서비스 패키지에 대한 사용 통계를 수집하여 수집된 사용 통계에 따라 과금 데이터를 산출하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 가입자회선에 전적으로 의존하는 제한된 비즈니스 모델을 사용할 수 밖에 없었던 종래에 비하여, 하나의 가입자회선에 복수의 사용자를 구별하여 수용할 수 있어 가입자회선간 사용자의 이동성을 지원할 수 있게 되므로, 이에 따라 사용자는 자신의 서비스패키지를 타인의 가입자회선에서도 동일하게 제공받을 수 있는 효과가 있다. 게스트, 액세스, 사용자, 이동성
