Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for mutually converting a video picture and a cinematographic picture is provided to softly convert the video picture into the cinematographic picture, so as to make motions natural and reduce a frame number per second. CONSTITUTION: Consecutively inputted video pictures are divided by the unit of cut. The video picture of each frame is classified into an odd field(O) and an even field(E). Each odd field(A(O)-D(O)) of a frame-1(110) to a frame-4(140), and each even field(B(E)-E(E)) of a frame-2(120) to a frame-5(150) of the video picture are respectively corresponded to each odd field((A(O)-D(O)) of a frame-1(210) to a frame-4(240) and each even field(B(E)-E(E)) of a frame-1(210) to a frame-4(240) of a cinematographic picture. Accordingly, the 5-frame of video picture is converted into the 4-frame of cinematographic picture, without using an even field(A(E)) of the frame-1(110) and an odd field(E(O)) of the frame-5(150) every 5 frames of the video picture.

Abstract: 본 발명은 초당 30 프레임인 비디오 영상과 초당 24프레임인 영화필름 영상을 변환 시키는 방법에 관한 것이다. 종래에는 복잡하고 고가인 하드웨어 장비를 이용하여 변환 처리하였는데, 본 발명에서는 소프트 웨어적으로 간단히 처리하는 방법을 제시한다. 본 발명은, 연속된 디지털 비디오 영상을 컷(cut)별로 나누는 단계와, 컷 별로 나누어 획득한 디지털 영상을 인터레이스드 모드(interlaced mode)에 의거하여 각 프레임 별로 짝수(even ; E)필드와, 홀수(odd ; O)필드로 나누는 단계와, 프레임 1 에서 프레임 4의 각 홀수 필드와 프레임 2에서 프레임 5의 각 짝수 필드를 영화필름 영상의 프레임 1에서 프레임 4의 홀수 필드와 짝수 필드로 각기 차례로 대응시켜 비디오 영상의 5 프레임 마다 프레임 1의 짝수 필드와 프레임 5의 홀수 필드는 사용하지 않고서 5프레임의 비디오 영상을 4프레임의 영화필름 영상으로 변환시키는 단계를 수행하여 비디오 영상을 영화필름 영상으로 변환 시킨다.
또, 영화필름 영상의 4프레임 마다의 프레임 1의 짝수 필드와 프레임 4의 홀수 필드를 각기 2번씩 배열하여 4 프레임의 영화필름 영상을 5프레임의 비디오 영상으로 변환시킨다.
