본 발명은 2차원 및 3차원 양안식 비디오신호의 적응변환 장치 및 그 방법이다. 2차원 및 3차원 양안식 비디오신호의 적응변환 장치는 디지털 컨텐츠들을 사용자특성 및 단말특성을 포함하는 다양한 사용 환경에 적응변환시킴으로써 사용자에게 최상의 디지털 컨텐츠 경험을 제공한다. 이러한 본 발명에 따른 장치는 사용자의 적응변환 요청과 관련된 비디오 컨텐츠의 효율적인 전송을 가능하게 한다.
Abstract:
A digital communication method and a system for the same are provided to reduce the number of puncturing by subdividing a method of processing during a multi-dimension orthogonal resource hopping pattern collision. A digital communication method includes the steps of: measuring a transient collision ratio at a specific frame of a multi-dimension hopping pattern; and stopping a frame transmission in order of a less affective channel if the transient collision ratio becomes higher than a reference collision ratio.

An apparatus for adaptively converting two-dimensional stereoscopic video signals or three-dimensional stereoscopic video signals and a method thereof are provided to adaptively convert video contents to coincide with various use environments by using user characteristic and user terminal characteristic information. A video use environment information manager(107) collects user characteristic information describing user characteristic related to video signals from a user terminal and describes and manages the user characteristic information. A video adaptive converter(103) adaptively converts video signals to output two-dimensional stereoscopic video signals or three-dimensional stereoscopic video signals coinciding with video use environment information to the user terminal.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) backlight and processing image signal are provided to make it possible to reduce the power consumption of an end user terminal having an LCD panel without lowering of brightness and contrast of image, by adapting brightness and contrast of the image signal based on the adjusted backlight intensity information. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling an LCD backlight and processing image signal comprises the first unit for generating backlight intensity information and the second unit(100) for controlling brightness and contrast of an image signal. The first unit generates backlight intensity information, adjusted for reducing the power consumption of an end user terminal having an LCD panel. The second unit adapts brightness and contrast of the image signal based on the adjusted backlight intensity information and displays the adapted image signal on the LCD. The apparatus makes a user experience image display with undamaged quality by adapting brightness or contrast of the image signal into high-level based on the adjusted backlight intensity information, and simultaneously, reduces the power consumption of the end user terminal.

PURPOSE: A method for converting adaptively visual contents in order to meet the color vision of a terminal user and a system for the same are provided to offer meaning information of visual contents corresponding to general users to a user having a color vision trouble without a separate device. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs one's own color vision characteristic information and environmental information to a processing member(102) through an input device(103) such as a keyboard. The processing member stores the color vision characteristic information to a database(104) with a previously determined format named by a color vision characteristic descriptor(114), so that an adaptive converting system(100) is initialized. Visual contents are provided to the processing member from an external network(107) through a network interface such as a modem. The processing member discriminates whether the user is a color-blind person or a color weakness person with reference to the color vision characteristic descriptor. When the user is a color-blind person, the processing member drives a color blind adaptive converting member(110), so that visual contents are converted adaptively by using the color vision characteristic information and environmental information and displayed to a video display device(108) such as an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display). When the user is a color weakness person, the processing member drives a color weakness adaptive converting member(112), so that visual contents are converted adaptively by using the color vision characteristic information and environmental information and displayed to the video display device(108) such as an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display).

PURPOSE: A multimedia contents offering method capable of replacing media and a device thereof are provided to diversely use the multimedia contents through a process to replace video, audio, or text media with other media depending on a trouble or a mistake during a multimedia contents service. CONSTITUTION: The device includes a contents providing server(21) storing the raw multimedia contents and a user adaptation server(22) generating/transmitting the replacement media(24) to a user terminal(23). The user adaptation server includes a storing part(31), a processing part(32), and a generating part(33). The processing part stores the information inputted from the contents providing server in the storing part while controlling the setting of a down/upstream channel between the user adaptation server and the user terminal. The processing part converts the raw contents into the user-adapted contents fit to a user characteristic and orders the generating part to generate the replacement media fit to the trouble if the trouble is existed in a function to use the multimedia contents.

Abstract:
A digital communication method and a system thereof are provided to reduce cases of punching by adjusting a method for processing conflicts of multidimensional orthogonal resource hopping patterns realized by dichotomy between transmission and punching, thereby improving the performance of a system adopting a multidimensional orthogonal resource hopping multiplexing method. A digital communication method comprises the following steps of: comparing the number of required orthogonal resource hopping multiplex channels with the number of available orthogonal radio resource units; fixedly assigning orthogonal radio resources units like orthogonal resource division multiplex channels so as to preventing hopping patterns from being conflicted, if the number of required orthogonal resource hopping multiplex channels is lower than the number of available orthogonal radio resource units; and enabling the channel to select the orthogonal radio resource unit according to the hopping pattern and transmit data, if the number of required orthogonal resource hopping multiplex channels is more than the number of available orthogonal radio resource units.

A digital communication method and its system are provided to lower a puncturing probability of the second communication station positioned at a cell boundary which is relatively disadvantageous, through soft handover. A systematic bit and a parity bit among output bits of a systematic channel encoder are discriminated. The systematic bit is transmitted according to an orthogonal resource division multiplexing method. The parity bit is transmitted according to an orthogonal resource hopping multiplexing method. The systematic channel encoder is a turbo encoder.
