Abstract: PURPOSE: A device and a method for identifying a transmitter in a digital broadcast system are provided to reduce complexity of calculation in identifying a transmitter. CONSTITUTION: A receiving unit(101) receives a broadcast signal into which an identifier sequence is inserted. An A/D converter(104) converts the received signal into a digital signal. A synchronization unit(106) performs synchronization. A correlation unit(107) successively correlates the signal of the receiving unit with base code sequences of a pseudo random sequence. A determining unit(112) identifies a transmitter based on a result of the correlation unit.

Abstract: 본 발명은 송신기 식별 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 디지털 방송 시스템에서의 송신기 식별 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 디지털 방송 시스템에서의 송신기 식별 방법은, 송신기를 식별하는 식별자 시퀀스가 삽입된 방송 신호를 수신하는 단계; 상기 수신한 방송 신호를 카사미 시퀀스(Kasami sequence)의 복수의 기본 코드 시퀀스와 순차적으로 상관(correlation)을 수행하는 단계; 및 상기 상관을 수행한 결과를 이용하여 상기 송신기를 식별하는 단계를 포함하되, 상기 카사미 시퀀스는, 제1 기본 코드 시퀀스, 제2 기본 코드 시퀀스 및 제3 기본 코드 시퀀스를 이용하여 생성된 것이고, 상기 상관을 수행하는 단계는, 상기 수신한 방송 신호를 상기 제1 기본 코드 시퀀스의 안티포덜(antipodal) 시퀀스와 곱한 후, 상기 제2 기본 코드 시퀀스에 대응하는 정합 필터를 거쳐 상기 제3 기본 코드 시퀀스에 대응하는 정합 필터를 통해 전달한다.-

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for identifying a transmitter in an ATSC DTV system are provided to identify a watermark signal through an identifier with small calculation complexity, thereby drastically increasing DTV repetition quality when a multipath scenario is worst. CONSTITUTION: A signal is provided to each transmitter. A signal including an identification sequence directing the transmitter is combined. A TxID sequence received through a 3 state process is passed. A location of each state is provided to the first and second decimated sequences of TxID composed like decimated sequences. The TxID sequence is composed under each state based on an independent variable. Each of a multipath is independently treated in a correlation process.
