Abstract:
망보호복구기능을 구비한 수동형 광 가입자 시스템 및 그 시스템에서의 망보호복구방법이 개시된다. 복수의 Optical Network Unit(광네트워크장치, 이하 'ONU'라 함)가 스플리터를 통해 Optical Line Terminal(광종단장치, 이하 'OLT'라 함)에 연결되어 있고 OLT와 스플리터 사이에는 트렁크가 포설되어 있는 망보호복구기능을 구비한 수동형 광 가입자 시스템에 있어서, OLT는 ONU로부터 보고메시지의 수신에 실패하면 광스위치를 이용하여 복수의 트렁크 중에서 하나의 트렁크를 경유하는 복구경로를 설정한 후 ONU로 제1게이트메시지를 전송하고, ONU로부터 등록요청메시지를 수신하면 등록메시지를 전송하고, 레인징(Ranging)을 수행한 후 ONU로 제2게이트메시지를 전송한다. ONU는 제1게이트메시지에 대한 응답으로 OLT로 등록요청메시지를 전송하고, 제2게이트메시지에 대한 응답으로 등록확인메시지를 전송한다. 이에 의해, 각각의 OLT 및 ONU에서 MPCP 메시지 상태를 감지하여 OLT와 ONU간의 적절한 보호복구 기능을 수행할 수 있다. 광네트워크, 이더넷 PON, 보호복구, MPCP 메시지, 수동형 광 가입자 망

PURPOSE: A protection and recovery system considered with the priority order of ONUs(Optical Network Units) in a PON(Passive Optical Network) and a method therefor are provided to offer a protection and recover function to all the ONUs connected to a PON by duplicating a trunk and an OLT(Optical Line Terminal) line card, which all the ONUs use in common. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of ONUs(100-103) are connected to an OLT through splitters. In order to provide a protection and recovery function to all the ONUs(100-103), Portions(108,110,106,107) used in common are duplicated. As an optical switch(111) and a trunk(109) are added to the protection path, the protection path or the recovery path is through the optical switch(111) so that the protection and recovery function can be executed according to requests of a P1 ONU(100) and a P2 ONU(103).

PURPOSE: A network protecting/recovering method in a PON(Passive Optical Network) system is provided to enable an optical network device to transmit registration request messages to an ONU(Optical Network Unit) as responses to the first and second gate messages, so that an OLT(Optical Line Terminal) and the ONU can sense an MPCP(Multi-Point-Control Protocol) message state to perform a proper protection/ recovery function. CONSTITUTION: An OLT confirms whether a report signal is received from ONUs(S200). If not(S202), the OLT sets a recovery path by using an optical switch(S204), and transmits a gate message to the ONUs(S206). If a register request message is received from the ONUs(S208), the OLT transmits a register message to the ONUs(S210). The OLT performs a raging process(S212), and transmits a gate message to the ONUs(S214). If a register acknowledgement message is received from the ONUs(S216), the OLT completes the raging process. If a response to the gate message is not received from the ONUs(S208), the OLT informs an operator of a splitter failure(S218). If a signal is not received from a specific ONU by a partial SF(Signal Failure)(S202), the OLT informs the operator of the failure(S220).
