Abstract: 본 발명은 디지탈 신호 프로세서를 동기화 제어기로 사용하여 오디오, 비디오 압축/복원 프로세서를 제어함으로써 원격 화상회의시 가장 중요시되는 오디오, 비디오 데이타의 흐름과 동기화 문제를 해결하는데 그 목적이 있는 것으로, 본 발명은 오디오 압축/복원 프로세서, 비디오 압축/복원 프로세서, 비디오 프로세서, 버스 트랜시버, 비디오 버스 조정자, FIFO제어기, 동기화 제어기등으로 구성된다.
본 발명은 원격 화상회의시 발생하는 오디오와 비디오 데이타의 동기화 문제를 디지탈 신호 프로세서를 사용하여 하드웨어적으로 처리함으로써 화상과 음성의 동기호 문제를 해결하고 외부통신망과 인터페이스되어 원격 화상회의에 이용할 수 있다.

Abstract: The apparatus for compressing and restoring audio and video data in a remote control video conference system, wherein the apparatus includes an audio compression/restoration processor(10), a video compression processor(20) and a video restoration processor(30), for processing original audio and video data in the compression/restoration by using the international algorithm(H.261); a video processor(40) for managing and controlling an output shape when restored video data is displayed on a monitor of a computer; a FIFO(80) for outputting the compression video data outputted from the video compression processor(20) to a communication network(100) through a PCI bus(140); a communication network interface board(130) for performing an interface between the PCI bus(140) and the communication network(100); and a FIFO controller(70) for controlling an operation of the FIFO(80), the apparatus also comprises a synchronizing controller(90) for performing a synchronization of the compressed audio data and video data by controlling the interface between the audio and video compression/restoration processors(10,20,30) and the communication network(100); and a bus transceiver (50) and a video bus adjuster(60), which are controlled by the synchronization controller(90) and manage and control the address bus of the video compression processor(20) and the video restoration processor(30).
