Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile ad hoc computational grid and a method therefor. The mobile ad hoc computational grid provides a decentralized computational infrastructure so that a mobile node in a mobile ad hoc network can share computing resources even when existing network infrastructure does not exist, whereby grid computing between mobile nodes in the mobile ad hoc network can be enabled. The mobile nodes are classified into a service request node, a service relay node, and a service provider node according to their roles. When application characteristics are submitted by a random service request node, the service relay node discovers a service provider node capable of performing the application characteristics within the mobile ad hoc network, allocates a task for performing the application characteristics and when receiving a result, provides the result to the mobile node that has submitted the application characteristics, whereby it is possible to effectively solve a problem requiring extensive computing through sharing of computing resources even without having the network infrastructure.
