Abstract: A method and a system for notifying a service application of a communication event in an application server supporting a web service-based open API are provided to improve extensibility of a service application by using an event table without hard coding in the search application. Abstract: An apparatus and a method for verifying open services are provided to present a verification environment efficient and suitable for open services by managing a method for registering and activating an open service to be verified. An apparatus for verifying open services consists of a verification management part(410), a service activation table(420), an AS(Application Server) processing part(430), a GW(Gateway) processing part(440), a communication network processing part(450), and a GUI(Graphic User Interface) part(460). The verification management part(410) registers a target service for verification, and controls overall verification procedures for the registered target service. The service activation table(420) manages information for activation of the registered service, and provides it to the verification management part(410). The AS processing part(430) provides a virtual AS environment, executes an open service logic to be verified, and provides a notification API(Application Program Interface) to process the events transferred from a virtual GW. The GW processing part(440), serving as a virtual GW, provides an open API between the AS processing part(430) and the communication network processing part(450). The communication network processing part(450), serving as a virtual communication network, creates events of a communication network, and executes network functions. The GUI part(460) provides open service verification procedures and results, performed in the AS processing part(430), the GW processing part(440), and the communication network processing part(450), to a user.
