Abstract: A broadband antenna with a parasitic element is provided to obtain a broadband characteristic by allowing both a main radiator and a parasitic radiator to function as radiators through additional insertion of the parasitic radiator connected to a ground surface. A broadband antenna with a parasitic element includes a ground plate, a parasitic strip line(12), a radiation strip line(20), and a feed line(42). The parasitic strip line is connected to the ground plate. The radiation strip line is separated from the parasitic strip line by a predetermined height and electromagnetically connected to the parasitic strip line. The feed line connects a feed member(40) and the radiation strip line. The broadband antenna further includes a dielectric layer(30) formed between the radiation strip line and the parasitic strip line.
