    Abstract: PURPOSE: A preference deduction device using view information and meta-data and a method thereof are provided to supply stratified genre preference to a broadcaster or an advertiser by stratifying a broadcast genre according to the preference of a user. CONSTITUTION: A view information receiving unit (310) receives view information of a user from a terminal. A view information analyzing unit (320) analyzes the view information of the user and extracts contents in which the user is interested. A preference deduction unit (330) deducts the preference of the user according to a genre and a period based on the extracted contents. A contents recommendation unit (360) selects broadcast contents and advertisement contents based on the extracted preference and individually recommend the broadcast contents and the advertisement contents to a broadcast server and an advertisement server.
