Abstract: PURPOSE: An emergency call service providing method is provided to rapidly execute emergency rescue services by previously registering processing methods for emergency calls. CONSTITUTION: An emergency call is received. A calling number of the emergency call is searched in a registration server based on an emergency call processing method(S208). Abstract: PURPOSE: An emergency call providing method using an internet protocol television service is provided to transmit an emergency rescue request message to an IPTV service provider by service subscribers. CONSTITUTION: In case a terminal is not connected to an IPTV set top box, an apparatus confirms the registration information of a subscriber(320,330). If there is registration information, the apparatus transmits an internet phone emergency call to an internet call service server(340). If an internet phone call is connected, an internet phone unit confirms registered message information of the subscriber(350).
