The present invention provides a device and a method for processing a passage management packet. The device for processing a passage management packet determines whether a router processing a received passage management packet is a storage node. If the router is the storage node, the present invention controls the passage management packet to be stored in a routing table. If the router is a non-storage node, the present invention controls the passage management packet to be transmitted to a next node without storing the passage management packet in the routing table. 본 발명은 무선 메쉬 네트워크에서의 협력적 무선 펌웨어 업데이트 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 즉, 본 발명에서는 무선 메쉬 네트워크에서의 각 노드가 커널, 네트워크 스택, 응용 프로토콜 등의 공통적으로 사용하는 바이너리 정보를 이용하여 기지국에서 타겟 노드까지 원본 이미지 대신 차분 스크립트를 전송하는 방식으로 노드간 협력을 통한 펌웨어 업데이트를 수행함으로서 대역폭을 절약하면서도 보다 안정적으로 펌웨어의 업데이트 및 유지 관리가 가능하도록 한다.

PURPOSE: A device for assigning a multi-channel in a wireless multi-hop network and a method thereof are provided to assign a plurality of channels to a part which CSMA(Carrier Sense Multiple Access) is used in a network, which is composed of multi-hop, by improving communication performance between devices in the network, thereby reducing packet collision. CONSTITUTION: A multi-channel algorithm generation unit(206) generates a multi-channel algorithm in order to successively set one of three channels corresponding to a hop number. When a network join request message is received from one or more lower layer hop devices, a control unit(204) transmits a network join response message which includes the multi-channel algorithm to a lower layer hop device. The present invention provides a method of managing a context table for compressing a header based on a context to efficiently manage the context table and to increase a rate of a compressed packet in a low-power and Lossy networks (LLN) by applying a score to the context by taking a distance of a destination node and multi-casting transmission into consideration upon mutual communication between an external network and the LLN in a 6LoWPAN and registering the context in the table according to the highest order of the score. To this end, the present invention provides a method including the steps of determining a size of a score by taking into consideration traffic information of a packet transmitted from an external host by a boundary router connecting the LLN to an external network; assigning a context ID to a prefix of the transmitted packet by the boundary router based on the determined size of the score to register the context in the context table; and transmitting a packet of the context registered in the context table to all nodes of the LLN.
