    Abstract: The card reader cutting out the card corner as much as using amounts to indicate the balance comprises a mould die (12) fixed on a main frame (1), a mould lever (13) rotating around a hinge axis (15), a mould punch (14) fixed on the mould lever, a pushing means operating the mould punch by pushing the lower part of the mould lever, and a detecting means detecting the punching place of the card. The magnetic card rotating along a eylindrical drum (2) is transfered to the position determined by the detecting means, then the mould punch cuts out the card side.

    Abstract: Features of this system are constant transporting speed, easy installation of idle roller, automatic belt tension control, compact size and saving the manufacturing cost by reducing components of card reader system. There was card deformation and slipping phenomenon on roller used system and tension control problem in belt driven system. This system is equipped with magnetic card in/out let (8), circular drum (1) operating by motor(4), at least two idle pulley (3a,3a',... 3d,3d'), idle belt (2,2'), tension controller (12) to supply proper tension to idle belt and to carry card attached with drum and magnetic head (6) reading information of card or writing data. Magnetic card is inserted in between drum and belt and is transporting with rotating drum.
