Abstract: PURPOSE: An ultra wide band small size flat type antenna and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to obtain ultra wide band frequency and achieve omni-directional pattern property. CONSTITUTION: A flat type antenna comprises a dielectric substrate(60); a first radiating element(10) formed at front of the dielectric substrate in monopole pattern; a second radiating element(30) formed at rear of the dielectric substrate in at least two or more monopole pattern; a grounding surface(70) formed at rear of the substrate and connected to the second radiating element; a first line path formed at front of the substrate and connected to the first radiating element; and a second line path formed at rear of the substrate and connected to the grounding surface.

Abstract: 본 발명은 초 광대역(Ultra Wide Band) 통신 시스템의 단말기에 사용될 안테나에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 안테나는, 기판의 한 쪽면(앞면)에는 모노폴(Monopole)형태의 방사 소자가 있고, 다른 쪽면(뒷면)에는 두개 이상의 모노폴이 연결된 형태의 방사 소자가 대칭되게 있으며 이 중앙에는 윗면의 모노폴 방사 소자의 급전 선로가 형성되게 소정 폭을 갖는 소정 길이의 선로가 구성되어 있다. 본 소형 안테나는 입력 임피던스 정합 회로가 필요하지 않고 동축 급전 선로에 바로 연결될 수 있으며, 모노폴 안테나의 방사 패턴처럼 주파수 대역폭 내에서 전방향성 패턴(Omni-directional Pattern)의 특성을 갖는다.
