    Abstract: A dynamic adaptation device of home network terminal system software and a method thereof are provided to add or replace modules of the software or to change characteristic values thereof according to environmental changes by using an information hiding method and/or a parameterization method, thus active function changes and structural changes are available in each system circumstance. A circumstantial information collector(101) collects circumstantial information around a terminal system. A circumstantial information analyzer(111) analyzes the circumstantial information to process the analyzed information into a meta data type. A module repository(120) stores plural software modules(121) used for configuring software. An inference engine(113) analyzes the processed circumstantial information to decide whether the software modules(121) are added or replaced or characteristic values stored in the modules(121) are changed. A module searcher(112) searches a new software module. A module reconfiguring unit(114) adds or replaces the modules(121), or changes the stored characteristic values. A dynamic adaptation unit(115) dynamically mounts reconfigured software modules(131) on target software(130).

    Abstract: Development guidelines for improving reusability of embedded software are provided to continuously keep and improve embedded reusable software assets by systematically developing the embedded reusable software assets easily sharable in an organization from the first development. The device guidelines comprise an asset making method defining an asset type and an asset making procedure of the embedded software, a documentation guideline, and a coding guideline. The documentation guideline includes document templates for each asset development step and the guidelines for making the document templates. The coding guideline includes a coding standard capable of increasing readability of the asset and a coding pattern according to an embedded software quality attribute such as real-time property and performance.
