Abstract: PURPOSE: A system and a method for metadata management are provided to manage data through a memory and permanently store the data, thereby quickly responding to a request of a user. CONSTITUTION: A command converting unit(130) converts a received service request into a data structure of a system. A chain managing unit(150) uses a plurality of handlers to process the converted service request. A directory service unit(170) stores a part of metadata.
