    Abstract: A novel dithiafuvalenes compound, a method for preparing the same compound, and a dye-sensitized solar cell using dye comprising the same compound are provided to form the dye-sensitized solar cell having various kinds of colors. A dye-sensitized solar cell includes a semiconductor electrode(10), a facing electrode(20), and an electrolyte solution(30) inserted between the semiconductor electrode and the facing electrode. The semiconductor electrode is formed with a transparent conductive glass substrate(12) and a nano-particle metal oxide layer(14) formed on the transparent conductive glass substrate. The facing electrode includes a conductive glass substrate(22) and a platinum layer(24).
