Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for tracing a ray using a path preprocess are provided to easily and efficiently track a ray by using path preprocess data. CONSTITUTION: A method for tracing a ray using a path preprocess comprises the following steps. A ray is emitted at a spaced angle in a transmitting point(S603). The first surface of an object on which the ray is incident is set as a reference patch. A counterpart patch corresponding to the second surface of another object to which the ray is touched is searched from preset path preprocess data to trace a microwave path of the reflected or diffracted microwave(S605).

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for ray-tracing using a path preprocess. The method for ray-tracing including launching a ray from a transmitting point at angles with regular intervals, setting a first side of an object where the launched ray is projected as a reference patch, and searching predetermined preprocessed path data for a counterpart patch corresponding to a second side of another object, the second side being exposed to the projected ray reflected or diffracted from the set reference patch, and tracing a transmission path of the reflected or diffracted ray.
