본 발명은 골프 비디오 이벤트 자동 검출 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것임.
2. 발명이 해결하려고 하는 기술적 과제
본 발명은 골프 비디오 컨텐츠의 다양한 특성들의 공통점을 분석하여, 시청자가 흥미를 가질만한 골프 경기의 주요 이벤트를 정의한 후, 상기 이벤트별 특성 분석 결과를 바탕으로 각 이벤트에 해당하는 세그먼트를 자동 추출할 수 있는 골프 비디오 이벤트 자동 검출 장치 및 그 방법과 상기 방법을 실현시키기 위한 프로그램을 기록한 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있음.
3. 발명의 해결방법의 요지
본 발명은, 골프 비디오 이벤트 자동 검출 장치에 있어서, 골프 비디오 데이터를 읽기 위한 비디오 컨텐츠 입력수단; 상기 골프 비디오 데이터에서 샷 구간을 선정하기 위한 샷 경계 검출수단; 상기 샷 구간이 선정된 비디오 데이터에서 골프 이벤트의 의미 추론에 힌트가 되는 '샷 구간을 대표하는 키프레임'을 선정하기 위한 키프레임 선정수단; 상기 샷 구간과 상기 키프레임을 이용하여 특징정보값을 추출하기 위한 특징정보 추출수단; 사전 학습을 통해, 골프의 각 이벤트 추출을 위해 사용될 특징정보들의 기본값을 갖는 대표 참조 이미지를 저장하고 있는 저장수단; 및 상기 특징정보값과 상기 대표 참조 이미지를 이용해 각 샷 구간 및 키프레임의 의미를 기 정의된 골프 이벤트별로 추론하여, 추론된 각 골프 이벤트별 샷들을 시간적으로 인접한 샷들과 통합하여 골프 이벤트별 세그먼트를 추출하기 위한 이벤트 추론 처리수단을 포함한다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically detecting a golf video event and a method thereof are provided to automatically summarize a contents-based main event of a golf video by automatically detecting the main event and extracting time information of the corresponding event section. CONSTITUTION: A video contents input unit(101) is provided to read golf digital video data formatted by a random video format form. A shot boundary detecting unit(102) selects shot sections from the output video data. A key frame selecting unit(103) selects a key frame to be a hint for deduction of a preliminarily set event from the video data. A characteristic information extracting unit(104) extracts characteristic information values by using the selected shot sections, the selected key frame, and a representative reference image. An event deduction processing unit(105) deducts meaning of each shot section and the key frame by using the extracted characteristic information and the representative reference image for integrating and dividing shots adjacent to each other in terms of time. A contents summary generating unit(106) generates a summary of the golf contents to be as an XML(eXtensible Markup Language). A storage unit stores the characteristic information and the representative reference image.
