Abstract: PURPOSE: An online document updating apparatus and a method thereof are provided to increase a security level about an online document by efficiently performing a common document task. CONSTITUTION: An access right setting unit(110) sets up an access right of fields included in an online document. A sub document generating unit(120) generates a sub document including the field based on the access right. A sub document selecting unit(130) selects the sub document related to the accessed user. If the selected sub document is edited, an online document updating unit(140) combines the edited sub document and generates the update online document. An access right transferring unit transfers the access right from a first user to a second user.
