Abstract: PURPOSE: A tactile-typed information inputting system for a very small information device using a finger and a device thereof are provided to operate more precise information input by offering feedback through tactile sensation of the finger, as a finger tip of a user gets to a pad, and recognize normal movement of the finger without seeing the movement through an eye or a screen. CONSTITUTION: A transparent plate(211) is equipped with a small projection(212) for easily touching with the finger tip and recognizes information input feedback through the tactile sensation of the finger. A lens(213) formed to a lower part of the plate collects an image recognized by the plate. A CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) image sensor(214) formed to the lower part of the lens generates the current image and motion vector information of the finger passing the lens. A switch button(215) transfers information by being pushed by the finger in order to process a user's command. The information is inputted by the movement for pushing or leaving from the projection.

Abstract: 본 발명은 사용자 손가락이 터치패드 역할을 하고, 촉각형 정보 입력 장치가 정보 입력을 위한 펜 역할을 하는 초소형 정보기기용 촉각형 정보 입력 시스템 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 촉각형 정보 입력 장치는, 사용자 손가락의 끝 부분에 용이하게 접촉하기 위한 소형 돌기를 구비하며, 손가락의 촉감으로 사용자의 정보 입력 피드백을 인식하기 위한 플레이트; 플레이트 하부에 형성되며, 플레이트에서 인식한 이미지를 모아주는 렌즈; 렌즈 하부에 형성되며, 렌즈를 통과한 손가락의 현재 이미지 및 모션 벡터 정보를 생성하는 이미지 검출 소자; 및 사용자가 명령 처리를 위해 손가락으로 눌러서 정보를 전달하기 위한 스위치 버튼을 포함하되, 사용자 손가락이 상기 플레이트 상에 형성된 돌기를 누르거나 떼는 동작에 의해 정보가 입력되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 손가락의 촉감을 통해서 입력이 사용자에게 피드백되기 때문에 정밀한 정보 입력을 조작할 수 있고, 또한, 눈이나 화면에서 동작을 보지 않고도 손가락의 정상적인 움직임을 인식할 수 있으며, 또한, 작은 돌기 부분이 입력 장치가 되므로, 평면이 아닌 곡면이나 모서리 같은 곳에도 장착이 가능하므로 공간 활용이 유용하게 된다.
