Abstract: The linear variable differential transformer consists of a former (1) wound with coils, a core (2) for detecting the mechanical displacement, a bar (3) for supporting the core, a shield case (4) for removing eddy current occurring by magnatic interference, primary and secondary coils, coils for converting the mechanical displacement into the electrical signals. The LVDT increases and miniaturizes the impedance of the primary coil by reduced winding width and number of the primary coil than the secondary coil. The core (2) has a ferrite insert covered with the stainless steel tube or palycarbonate as synthetic resin.

Abstract: The luquid dielectric constant is C/Co where Co is the electric capacity value under vacuum and C is the electric capacity value when the test liquid is poured into the cell. One electrode of the parallel circular plates is circumferenced by a guard-ring electrode to eliminate an edge-effect. The cell comprises a cylindrical chamber (1) insulated by teflon (2), a guard-ring electrode (6) insulated froma lower electrode (4), a guard plate (9) assembled with the upper electrode (3) by a screw (8), a hole (10), perforated on the guard plate, for pouring the test liquid, and an O-ring for sealing the cylindrical chamber (1).
