Abstract: The present invention relates to an image matching method and a system for performing the same. According to the present invention, a geometric correction is performed by: extracting a matching pair which is a global matching object by using a specific point which is extracted from a reference image and an object image based on an SIFT; primarily minimizing a difference of a coordinate system between two images through an affine transformation using the extracted global matching pair; extracting a local matching pair which is a local matching object by using a parameter which is extracted using a simulated annealing; and applying global/local transformation model formulas to the local matching pair which remains after an outline rejection by using the distance information and local direction information of each local matching pair.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for blending high-resolution images are disclosed. The method for blending high-resolution images is a method for blending two different images with high resolution by an image blending apparatus. The method comprises the steps of performing high-frequency filtering of each of a multispectral image and a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image to extract each of high-frequency information, removing outliers from the SAR image, based on each of high-frequency information, and blending the SAR image with the multispectral image.
