Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for generating a jamming signal using an active transponder for a synthetic aperture radar system. The apparatus for generating a jamming signal using an active transponder for a synthetic aperture radar system includes: a beam width adjusting unit adjusting a first beam width of an active transponder to a second beam width which is greater than the first beam width and extending a detection area of the active transponder; and a multiple time delay unit multiple-time-delaying an IF component of a SAR signal received by the active transponder and generating a jamming signal.
