Abstract: An equator type driving apparatus for a photovoltaic module is provided to maximize efficiency by detecting a change of declinations according to seasons. A supporting frame(110) includes a main body(111) having a shape of rectangular frame, a hinge(H) installed at one side of a lower side of the main body, a pin(P) protruded from the lower side of the main body to be coupled rotatably with the hinge, and a first cylinder(113) for aligning the main body to a polar axis by rotating the main body around the hinge. A PV module(120) includes a rotary shaft installed at both sides thereof. The rotary shaft is coupled with the main body. A motor(115) is installed at the supporting frame in order to align the PV module at a declination by rotating the rotary shaft.

Abstract: A cylindrical solar tracking apparatus and a photovoltaic driving system using the same are provided to maximize power generating efficiency by driving a photovoltaic cell according to elevation and azimuth angles of the sun. A sun light is received in a first optical path(111), which vertically penetrates a cylindrical main body(110). Second to fifth optical paths(112,113,114,115) slantingly penetrate from side surfaces to a bottom of the main body in four directions. First to fifth optical sensors(111a-115a) are mounted on the first to fifth optical paths and generate a current from the sun ray. The main body includes an upper portion(110a) and a center portion(110b). The first optical path is formed on the upper portion. A radius of the center portion gets bigger toward a lower portion. Second to fifth optical paths are formed on a side of the center portion. The first to fifth optical sensors are mounted on the bottom of the main body. A solar tracking apparatus tracks the sun by comparing current values from the optical sensors with one another.

Abstract: A plate-type solar tracking apparatus using an optical sensor is provided to drive a solar cell according to the azimuth angle and altitude angle of the sum by tracking the position of the sun by an optical sensor while including a structure for driving a solar cell module according to the determined position of the sun. An east-west block plate(120) and a south-north block pate(130) are mounted on a main body of a plate shape, respectively disposed in directions vertical to an east-west direction and a south-north direction. Optical sensors(PE,PW,PS,PN) are respectively mounted on the front and back surfaces of the east-west block plate and the south-north block plate. The position of the sun is determined by using a current value outputted from each optical sensor. The east-west block plate or the south-north block plate can be a pair of plate bodies of curved shapes that respectively widens toward the south and the north wherein the mutually protruding portions of the plate bodes come in contact with each other.

Abstract: A photovoltaic driving apparatus using a solar tracking method is provided to increase the amount of received sunlight and to enhance energy efficiency by tracking diurnal motion of sun. An integrated PV module(120) is formed with a module structure including a solar cell for producing electric power by using sunlight. A supporting frame(110) is fixed on the ground. A PV module rotary shaft is installed in the inside of the supporting frame. The integrated PV module is rotated around the PV module rotary shaft. A driving unit(130) includes a motor(131) installed in the supporting frame in order to generate rotatory power, a motor rotary shaft(132) to be rotated by the motor, a first gear(133) installed on the motor rotary shaft, and a second gear(134) coupled with the first gear in order to rotate the PV module rotary shaft.
