Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for reducing the toxicity of PCBs by reducing all chlorine atoms contained in PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) by using hydrogen, thereby converting the polychlorinated biphenyls into biphenyl. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step of mixing methanol solution saturated with sodium with a solution into which PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) is dissolved; a step of adding palladium-alumina catalyst to a mixed solution in which the PCBs solution is mixed with the methanol solution; and a step of applying ultrasonic waves to the mixed solution to which the palladium-alumina catalyst is added, wherein toxicity of chlorine molecules of PCBs is reduced by increasing activity of the palladium-alumina catalyst using ultrasonic waves, thereby stably conducting chemical reaction in which chlorine atoms of the PCBs are replaced with hydrogen of sodium formate.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A solid phase extraction device and method is provided to reduce cost and environmental contamination by reducing the amount of organic solvent for extraction, while reducing extraction time and improving efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A solid phase extraction device comprises a container unit(100) where the sea water stored in a container(120) is discharged through an outlet unit(140) arranged beneath the container; an online filter(200) connected to an inlet port(220) extended from the outlet unit, and which separates floating material and dissolved organic material from the water sea and discharges dissolved organic material through an outlet port(240) extended underneath from the online filter; an ODS cartridge(300) connected to the outlet port of the online filter, and which seizes dissolved organic matter being introduced into the ODS cartridge; a multi-folder(400) having an inlet pipe(420) connected to the ODS cartridge and fit into an inlet tube(440) from among the inlet tubes protruded from a surface of the multi-folder, and an outlet pipe(460) for discharge of the sea water; and a vacuum and peristatic pump(500) for adsorbing the sea water through an outlet pipe(520) connected to the outlet pipe of the multi-folder.

Abstract: 본 발명은 DNA 염기 서열을 이용한 미생물에의 표지 부착방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 미생물에의 표지 부착방법은, 원하는 이름표의 영문 문자열에 해당하는 DNA 염기 서열을 제작하는 단계; 제작된 문자열 염기 서열을 리게이션시켜 일련의 문자열을 만드는 단계; 문자열의 양쪽에 PCR(Polymerase Chain Reaction)용 프라이머(primer)를 부착하고 그 바깥쪽에 적당한 벡터와 리게이션할 수 있는 리스트릭션 사이트(restriction site)를 붙이는 단계; 이를 제한 효소로 처리하여 스티키 엔드(sticky end)를 만드는 단계 ; 이를 동일한 제한 효소로 처리된 벡터에 삽입하는 단계; 벡터를 원하는 미생물에 형질전환시키는 단계를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하여, 생물학적 오염물질의 해당 생물 폐기물에 이름표를 부착하게 하거나 개발한 기관의 영문 명칭을 표지할 수 있게 함으로써 해당 영문 명칭을 알아낼 수 있어 폐기물 등의 책임소재를 밝힐 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 새로운 유전자를 클로닝한 플라즈마나 벡터를 개발하였을 때에도 이름표를 부착하여 그 소유권을 명시할 수 있어 미생물 이용과 관련된 분쟁의 소지를 미연에 방지할 수 있는 DNA 염기 서열을 이용한 미생물에의 표지 부착방법을 제공한다.

CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for producing fresh water and salt using pressure of water depth and reverse osmosis comprises reverse osmosis filters(100) which are immersed in deep seawater layer having a certain depth; seawater inflow pipes(120) which are connected to the bottom of the reverse osmosis filters so that seawater is flown into the reverse osmosis filters; a fresh water pipe(200) one end of which is connected to one side of the reverse osmosis filters, and the other end of which is connected to the outside of the seawater surface so that fresh water filtered by the reverse osmosis filters flows through the fresh water pipe; a water tank(210) which is installed on the middle part of the fresh water pipe to store the filtered fresh water; a water raising pump(220) which is connected to the other end of the fresh water pipe that is projected to the outside of the seawater surface to pump up the fresh water filled in the water tank to the outside of the seawater surface; a concentrate seawater pipe(300) one end of which is connected to one side of the reverse osmosis filters, and the other end of which is connected to the outside of the seawater surface so that the seawater flown in the reverse osmosis filters is filtered as fresh water, and the remaining concentration increased concentrate seawater flows through the concentrate seawater pipe; and a spray pump(320) which is connected to the other end of the concentrate seawater pipe that is projected to the outside of the seawater surface to pump up the concentrate seawater flowing through the concentrate seawater pipe to the outside of the seawater surface and spray the concentrate seawater onto a rotary drum(500) heated to obtain salt.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a method for reducing or removing the toxicity of dioxin by converting highly toxic dioxins into non-toxic materials without using any expensive equipments, while recovering and reutilizing the used catalyst. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: adding a formate salt and a palladium-alumina catalyst to a solution in which a dioxin is dissolved; and applying an ultrasonic wave to the mixed solution. Particularly, the dioxin is polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin(PCDDs), and the formate salt is potassium formate. In the method, the chlorine atoms in PCDDs are substituted with hydrogen atom so that PCDDs are converted into dibenzo-p-dioxin.
