    Abstract: The present invention relates to a complex hollow fiber for forward osmosis, and a manufacturing method thereof and, specifically, to a complex hollow fiber for forward osmosis, comprising a tubular supporting layer and a separation active layer formed on a concentric circle on the outer periphery of the supporting layer to surround the supporting layer. The separation active layer comprises cellulosic polymers, and the supporting layer comprises non-cellulosic polymers. The hollow fiber has excellent water permeation, mechanical property and pollution resistance, minimizes inner concentration polarization, compared to an existing forward osmosis membrane, maintains the high water permeation, and minimizes solute reverse diffusion of induction solution. In addition, the hollow fiber can be applied to water treatment processes for seawater, salt water, sewage and waste water, especially for a desalination process.
