Abstract:
PURPOSE: An adsorptive chelate resin for heavy metal ion is provided which is excellent in chelate forming with heavy metal ion and contains carboxylic group and sulfonyl group as a functional group by copolymerizing monomer(s) and styrene on the backbone to form framework structure, and then introducing a sulfonyl group to the phenyl group of the copolymer. CONSTITUTION: A chelate resin is produced by the following steps of: copolymerizing styrene, divinylbenzene, and carboxylic acid in suspension at 40-90°C; hydrolyzing the product at 40-100°C to obtain a copolymer; and reacting the resultant copolymer with sulfuric acid or acetyl sulfate at 40-80°C. The adsorptive chelate resin is represented by the formula I, wherein A is hydrogen or natrium, both of X and Y are 1 when Z is 0, and X is 0 when Z is 1.

본 발명은 특정 중금속이온 흡착용 킬레이트수지에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 주쇄측에 카르복실기로 전환될 수 잇는 구조를 갖는 단위체와 스니렌을 공중합시키되 디비닐벤젠을 가교제로 하여 망목(網目)형의 공중합체를 합성하고 난뒤, 이들 공중합체의 페닐기에 카르복실기를 추가도입시킴으로써 공중합체 수지의 킬레이트 관능기들의 기본골격이 벤젠을 공간자(spacer)로 하여 요철 상태가 되도록 하여 특정 중금속이온들에 대한 킬레이트 형성능력을 보다 선택적으로 강화시킨 다음 화학식 1로 표시되는 카르복실기만을 함유하는 특정 중금속이온 흡착용 킬리에트수지에 관한 것이다.

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a chelate resin for adsorbing certain heavy metal ion is provided to improve adsorption of the resin to certain heavy metal ion and capability of the resin to form a chelate with the metal ion. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a chelate resin for adsorbing certain heavy metal ion containing carboxyl group as a chelate functional group according to the present invention comprises the steps: a) suspension copolymerizing chloromethylated styrene, divinyl benzene and carboxyl ester at 40 to 90°C and hydrolyzing them at 40 to 100°C to obtain a copolymer resin; b) reacting the copolymer resin with potassium hydroxide at the weight ratio of 0.5 to 5 based on the weight of resin by nucleophilic substitution in the presence of ethanol solvent at the weight ratio of 5 to 20 based on the weight of resin to convert chlorine of chloromethyl group into hydroxy; and c) adding concentrated nitric acid to the hydroxylated and dried resin at the weight ratio of 5 to 30 based on the weight of resin and oxidizing at 20 to 60°C to obtain the chelate resin for adsorbing certain heavy metal ion having the formula I, wherein A is hydrogen atom or sodium atom and when Z=0, X=Y=1 and when Z=1, X=0 and Y=1.

Abstract:
PURPOSE: A chelate resin containing a phosphono group and a sulfon group as a chelate functional group is provided which improves adsorptivity and reusability as compared with conventional chelate resins. CONSTITUTION: A resin represented by the formula 1 is prepared by suspension-polymerizing styrene, divinylbenzene and bis-(2-chloroethyl)vinylphosphonate at 40 to 90°C and hydrolyzing at 40 to 100°C, sulfonating the obtained copolymer using concentrated sulfuric acid or acetyl sulfate at 30 to 90°C, if necessary, neutralized using caustic soda at 30 to 90°C after sulfonation. In formula, A denotes a hydrogen or sodium atom. The resin is characterized in that a phosphono group is introduced on a main chain of the copolymer skeleton and a sulfon group is introduced on its side chain and the resin forms irregularities with the phosphono functional group as a main chain by allowing the sulfon group which is introduced into a phenyl group as a side chain to be located at the top.
