    Abstract: PURPOSE: A gadolinium aluminate-based green fluorescein is provided which has excellent luminous brightness and color purity at low speed electron beam, has stable physical properties even at high vacuum and has high brightness to be suitable for field emission display (FED) actuated by excitation of low voltage electron beam, and the preparation method thereof is also provided. CONSTITUTION: A gadolinium aluminate-based green fluorescein having the following formula 1 is prepared from a method composed of adding terbium oxide(Tb4O7) in a molar ratio of 0.005 - 0.10 with respect to gadolinium aluminate(Gd4Al2O9), mixing them together, drying and forming them, then calcining them at 1000 - 1600°C under atmospheric pressure and grinding them to produce the fluorescein of the formula 1, where 0.005≤a≤0.10.
