    Abstract: Provided are a method for preparing a porous zinc-based carboxylic acid coordination polymer compound which has a high BET surface area of 3,000 m^2/g or more and a large pore volume. The method comprises the steps of mixing a zinc precursor, a carboxylic acid compound or its mixture, and a solvent to prepare a reaction mixture; and irradiating a microwave of 0.3-300 GHz to the reaction mixture to heat it at 20-120 deg.C. Preferably, the solvent is at least one selected from N,N-dimethylformaldehyde, N,N-diethylformaldehyde, an alcohol, a ketone and a hydrocarbon; and the carboxylic acid compound is terephthalic acid or 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid.
