본 발명은 바이오매스로부터, 바람직하게는 바이오매스로부터 유도된 탄소수 5 또는 6 의 탄수화물로부터 레불린산 또는 이의 에스테르 화합물의 제조시 높은 전환율 및 고선택성을 나타내는 촉매 및 이를 이용한 레불린산 또는 이의 에스테르 화합물의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A catalyst for preparing levulinic acid or esters thereof from biomass and a method for preparing levulinic acid or esters thereof using the catalyst are provided to facilitate preparing processes without a process of separating by-products such as formic acid. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst for preparing levulinic acid or esters thereof from biomass comprises a graphene oxide carrier and a functional group carried in the carrier. The functional group is selected from groups including carboxylic acid (-COOH), sulfonic acid (-SO3H), and phosphoric acid (-PO3H2). A method for preparing levulinic acid or esters thereof includes the steps of: preparing glucose from cellulose or hemicelluloses; and preparing levulinic acid from the glucose.
