Abstract: PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of cancer containing Lysimachia foenum-graecum extract is provided to have the low possibility to cause a side effect as the active ingredient is derived from a natural substance, and to be able to be usefully used for prevention, treatment and alleviation of cancer as the composition has no cytotoxicity. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of cancer contains Lysimachia foenum-graecum extract as an active ingredient. The Lysimachia foenum-graecum extract is ethanol extract of Lysimachia foenum-graecum. The ethanol extract of Lysimachia foenum-graecum is ethanol extract of pH 3-pH 11. Said cancer is breast cancer, colon cancer, skin cancer or liver cancer. Food for prevention or alleviation of cancer contains Lysimachia foenum-graecum extract as an active ingredient.
