Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing purple corn extract for suppressing diabetic renal fibrosis is provided to reduce type IV collagen generation and to relieve renal fibrosis. CONSTITUTION: A composition for suppressing diabetic renal fibrosis contains purple corn extract. The purple corn extract is prepared by mixing 100% of purple corn powder with ethanol in a weight ratio of 1:7-10, performing sonication for 20-40 minutes, centrifuging at 2500-3000rpm for 10-20 minutes, collecting supernatant, and concentrating. The composition is manufactured in the form of beverage, powder, concentrate, capsule, and medicine.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing isoangustone A is provided to reduce collagen generation and to reduce tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase type 2(TIMP-2) activity. CONSTITUTION: A composition for suppressing renalfibrosis or glomerulsclerosis contains isoangustone A which is an ingredient of Glycyrrhiza uralensis extract. Isoangustone A has a structure of chemical formula I. A method for isolating isoangustone A comprises: a step of extracting Glycyrrhiza uralensis roots using a solvent of hexane and ethanol by sonication for one hour; a step of decompression-concentrating the extract to prepare crude extract; and a step of performing HSCCC(High-speed countercurrent chromatography).

Abstract: 본 발명은 당뇨합병증으로 인해 초래되는 신장섬유증에 직접적으로 관련된 인간 신장 혈관간세포(Human Renal Mesangial Cell, HRMC)를 고혈당에 노출시키고 여기에 검정옥수수 추출물과 3일간 배양함으로써, 결합조직 성장인자(Connetive Tissue Growth Factor, CTGF)의 활성을 억제하고, 제 4(Ⅳ)형 콜라겐(Collagen) 생성을 감소시키며, 막형 기질단백질 분해효소(Membrane Type-1 Matrix Metalloproteinase, MT-1 MMP)의 발현을 증가시켜 만성 고혈당으로 인한 신장 섬유증을 개선시키는 검정옥수수 추출물을 함유하는 당뇨병성 신장섬유증 억제용 조성물 대한 것이다.
