Abstract: The present invention relates to a use of xanthium fruit extract and/or dicaffeoyl quinic acid derivatives for preventing, curing, and/or treating a diabetes induced complication, more specifically a medicinal composition or a food composition containing more than one material selected from the group consisting of a xanthium fruit extract and a dicaffeoyl quinic acid derivative denoted by chemical formula 1 as active ingredients.
