Abstract: 본 발명은 등골나물 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 항염 조성물에 관한 것이다. 상기 등골나물 추출물은 세포 독성이 없을 뿐만 아니라, 염증과 관련된 각 수준의 단백질의 발현 구체적으로, NO 분비량, iNOS 및 COX-2의 발현여부, iNOS 및 COX-2의 mRNA의 전사여부와 염증과 관련된 여러 사이토카인(cytokine)의 mRNA의 전사여부를 확인한 결과, 효과적으로 염증을 저해할 수 있다는 것이 확인되었으므로, 이를 유효성분으로 포함하는 상기 항염 조성물은 염증과 관련된 질병에서 염증을 억제하는 항염증제 및 항염효과가 있는 화장료 조성물 등으로 응용될 수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An anti-inflammatory composition containing Eupatorium japonicum extract is provided to suppress mRNA transcription of iNOS and COX-2 and NO secretion. CONSTITUTION: An anti-inflammatory composition contains Eupatorium japonicum extract as an active ingredient. The Eupatorium japonicum extract is isolated by enfleurage, thermal extraction, and sonication using water, alcohol of 1-5 carbon atoms, or mixture thereof. An anti-inflammatory formulation contains the anti-inflammatory composition as an active ingredient.
