Abstract: A mounting bracket for a covering for architectural openings such as windows, doors, archways, and the like, includes complementary components on the headrail and the mounting bracket to permit the head rail to be inserted into and automatically locked to the mounting bracket. Abstract: A system for operating top down/bottom up covering for architectural openings is provided to extend shade to desired degree from either a head rail or from a bottom sill. A system for operating top down/bottom up covering for architectural openings comprises a head rail(58), a middle rail, and a bottom rail(62). The head rail houses the operating components of the system. The horizontally disposed middle rail and the horizontally disposed bottom rail which is raised or lowered independently to any location between the head rail and a fully deployed position adjacent a bottom sill of the opening. The system includes independent lift systems for the middle rail and for the bottom rail, but a common drive system for sequentially operating the lift systems for the middle rail and the bottom rail.
