Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for producing three-dimensional matter enhanced in accuracy by using stereolithography. SOLUTION: An apparatus for producing a matter by stereolithography is equipped with a tank 1 in which a bath of a liquid or powder material solidified by electromagnetic radiation is housed. As is known, this apparatus has a support 4 for positioning the matter with respect to a bath surface 2 and a device 8 for solidifying the layer of the material 3 adjacent to the bath surface by electromagnetic radiation and further has a supply device 51 of the solidifying material 3 in order to accurately adjust the thickness of the layer of the material 3 and this supply device traverses the tank to extend and has a discharge opening part 53 provided to the bottom surface thereof at an operation position and the groove communicating with the discharge opening part 53 extends in the supply device to be connected to a pump 63 at one point through a conduit 62.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce matter enhanced in accuracy and to especially adjust layer thickness certainly and simply in an apparatus and method for producing three-dimensional matter by using stereolithography. SOLUTION: In an apparatus for forming matter by using stereolithography, a tank 1 is filled with a material 3 having a liquid surface 2 and capable of being solidified by electromagnetic radiation an a wiper 15 is moved by a moving device 26 so as to traverse the liquid surface 2 of the material 3 to form the desired layer thickness of the material 3. The wiper 15 has front and rear surface parts having mutually different surface tension values.
