Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a vertical distortion in a method for forming a three- dimensional item in a way of every layer by selectively curing a forming material. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a three-dimensional item comprises a process of curing a first layer 21 of a forming material to be completely cured, a process of incompletely curing at least one of intermediate layers 24 of the forming material to be incompletely cured overlapping on at least a part of the first completely cured layer 21, the intermediate layer having a liquid area 26 of the forming material and a curing area 25 of the forming material, wherein the curing area 25 is not adhered to the first completely cured layer 21 after a cure conducted in a first scanning direction but is adhered to the first completely cured layer 21 after the second cure conducted in a second scanning direction and a process of curing the second layer 29 of the forming material to be completely cured and a liquid area 26 of the forming material in at least one of the incompletely cured intermediate layers 24.
