    Abstract: PURPOSE: To manufacture a solid article of a large size by providing a stationary mirror at a predetermined angle to a dynamic mirror system to reflect a beam to be traced by a beam generator substantially perpendicularly to a horizotal target surface, thereby reducing a size of a stereolithogrpahic apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A liquid photocurable resin 18 is filled in a vat 16, and a laser of an ultraviolet argon ion laser 20 curs a photosensitive polymer to a predetermined depth at a desired speed at a horizontal target surface. Two mirrors 28, 30 operate to reflect beams at 90 deg.. A beam enlarging unit 32 enlarges the laser after passing a resiual optical system, focuses it directs it to a dynamic mirror system 34, which directs the received laser above the vat 16. A stationary mirror 36 is fixedly disposed in a frame 22. When a reflected beam is emitted to a center of the target surface, it is directed directly under the vertical of the target surface of the vat 16 to form a normal of the surface.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To use a plurality of penetration depths independently or in simultaneous combination corresponding to conditions by providing a stimulating radiation source simultaneously containing at least two kinds of separate wavelengths having different penetration depths into a curable material and a platform control device for regulating the height of a platform. CONSTITUTION: A light source consists of several different light sources actually and each of the light sources generates a single or a plurality of stimulating radiation wavelengths. Stimulating radiations of different wavelengths generate different penetration depth values in a generally given photopolymer 22. Two kinds or more wavelengths are simultaneously used in order to solidify a resin or stimulating radiations of two or more kinds of wavelengths are used but, in a solidifying process, only one wavelength is used at a time and respective wavelengths are absorbed at the given depth of an imaginary photopolymerization initiator having different penetration depths into a resin to be used. A photopolymer mainly comprises various monomers generally and contains a photopolymerization initiator or other various components.
