Abstract: The disclosed adhesive eyelid closure article has a support layer and a pressure sensitive adhesive on the support layer. The support layer defines a main body and a non-adhesive tab area. The support layer has a central portion and an outer circumferential portion. The non-adhesive tab area is delimited by two recesses located in the outer circumferential portion of the support layer. The support layer has a first major surface and a second major surface opposite to the first major surface. The pressure sensitive adhesive is on at least part of the outer circumferential portion of the first major surface of the support layer, forming an adhesive coated area of the support layer.

Abstract: The multilayer pressure sensitive adhesive assembly includes a polymeric foam layer and a first pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The polymeric foam includes a plurality of activated carbon particles. The first pressure sensitive adhesive layer includes a multi-arm block copolymer in an amount greater than 20 percent by weight, based on the weight of the first pressure sensitive adhesive layer, and at least one hydrocarbon tackifier. The multi-arm block copolymer has formula Qn-Y, in which Q represents an arm of the multi-arm block copolymer, each arm independently having the formula G-R, n represents the number of arms and is at least 3, and Y is the residue of a multifunctional coupling agent. Each R is independently a rubbery block including a polymerized conjugated diene, a hydrogenated derivative of a polymerized conjugated diene, or combinations thereof, and each G is a glassy block including a polymerized monovinyl aromatic monomer.

Abstract: A thermal insulation/protection barrier that provides thermal insulation and protection to battery cells of a battery assembly. The barrier includes a cured silicone rubber foam layer comprising a plurality of firming particles disposed within the silicone rubber foam layer in an amount sufficient to impart additional firmness to the silicone rubber foam layer so that it takes a greater compressive force to compress the foam layer to a desired compression value, compared to the same silicone rubber foam layer without the firming particles.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a silicone rubber foam layer obtainable by a process that includes providing a substrate; providing a first solid film and applying it onto the substrate; providing a coating tool provided with an upstream side and a downstream side, wherein the coating tool is offset from the substrate to form a gap normal to the surface of the substrate; moving the first solid film relative to the coating tool in a downstream direction; providing a curable and foamable precursor of the silicone rubber foam to the upstream side of the coating tool thereby coating the precursor of the silicone rubber foam through the gap as a layer onto the substrate provided with the first solid film; providing a second solid film and applying it along the upstream side of the coating tool, such that the first solid film and the second solid film are applied simultaneously with the formation of the adjacent layer of the precursor of the silicone rubber foam; foaming or allowing the precursor of the silicone rubber foam to foam; curing or allowing the layer of the precursor of the silicone rubber foam to cure thereby forming the silicone rubber foam layer; optionally, exposing the layer of the precursor of the silicone rubber foam to a thermal treatment; and optionally, removing the first solid film and/or the second solid film from the silicone rubber foam layer.
