Abstract: Fibers, webs that include a plurality of such fibers, and methods of making such fibers, wherein each fiber includes a mixture including one or more aromatic polyesters and one or more organic polyester polymers, wherein the one or more organic polyester polymers have a molecular weight of 700 Daltons to 50,000 Daltons and comprises one equivalent weight of sulfonic acid groups or ionizable sulfonic acid salt groups per 700 to 8000 grams (of the organic polyester polymer).
