Abstract: An acoustic article (10) comprising a porous layer (14) and an acoustic absorbing filler (18) embedded within the porous layer, and methods of making the same. The acoustic absorbing filler includes agglomerates comprising porous amorphous silica particles and a binder. The acoustic absorbing filler has a median sieved particle size of 100 i.un to 2000 i.un. The acoustic article has a normal incidence acoustic absorption of no less than 0.09 a at 400 Hz.

The antisoiling layer (160) has an outwardly facing antisoiling surface (162) opposite the micro-voided polymer film. An article (1100) comprising the composite cooling film (1112) secured to a substrate (1110) is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an article including an isoporous membrane disposed on a porous substrate. The iso-porous membrane includes a triblock copolymer or a pentablock copolymer. The isoporous membrane has a thickness and is isoporous throughout its thickness. A method of making an article is also provided, which does not require a solvent exchange process. The method includes depositing a composition on a porous substrate, thereby forming a fdm, and removing at least a portion of the solvent from the film, thereby forming an isoporous membrane having numerous pores. The composition contains a solvent and solids including a triblock copolymer or a pentablock copolymer. The article advantageously can be hydrophilic and provides sharp molecular weight cut-offs and high flux.

Abstract: Provided are acoustic articles, and related methods, that include a porous layer and heterogeneous filler received in the porous layer. The heterogeneous filler can include clay, diatomaceous earth, graphite, glass bubbles, polymeric filler, non-layered silicate, plant-based filler, or a combination thereof, and can have a median particle size of from 1 micrometer to 1000 micrometers and a specific surface area of from 0.1 m2/g to 800 m2/g. The acoustic article can have an overall flow resistance of from 100 MKS Rayls to 8000 MKS Rayls. B is a hydrogenated vinyl aromatic block present in a range from 30 to 90 weight percent, based on the total weight of the copolymer and has a Tg of ≥110° C. C is a rubbery block present in a range from 10 to 70 weight percent, based on the total weight of the copolymer and has a Tg≤25° C. A is substantially incompatible with both the B and C blocks and is derived from ring-opening polymerization. B+C is present in a range from 70 to 95 weight percent, based on the total weight of the copolymer.
