Abstract: A multilayer film comprises (a) two or more non-plasticized layers comprising lactic acid polymer and (b) one or more plasticized layers comprising lactic acid polymer and plasticizer sandwiched between the two or more lactic acid polymer layers; wherein the thickness of the one or more plasticized layers comprises from about 60% to about 70% of the total thickness of the multilayer film.
