The additive includes a copolymer with a vinyl polymeric backbone that includes at least one free radically polymerizable vinyl monomer A and at least one reinforcing comonomer B, wherein B is present at 0 to about 20% by weight of the copolymer, and a pendant polysiloxane monomer grafted to the backbone. The adhesive composition may optionally be crosslinked. The adhesive composition may be applied to a film to form a graphic article. These graphic articles may be applied to a substrate without liquid application aids.
Abstract:
Crosslinkable compositions, crosslinked compositions, articles containing these compositions, and methods of making the articles are provided. The crosslinkable compositions, which include two (meth)acrylate polymers, are used to form the crosslinked compositions upon exposure to ultraviolet radiation. The crosslinkable and crosslinked compositions are free or substantially free of tackifiers. The crosslinked compositions can function as pressure-sensitive adhesives. The crosslinkable compositions are well suited for use with hot melt processing methods.

Abstract:
An extrusion die (20) and method for co-extruding a first molten polymeric material and a second molten polymeric material. The die includes a first die portion (20), a second die portion and a shim separating the first die portion and the second die portion. The shim has a first side and a second side, the first side of the shim forming a boundary of the first die portion and defining a first die cavity (38), the second side of the shim forming a boundary of the second die portion and defining a second die cavity (40). A dispensing edge (36) is provided having a plurality of first and second extrusion openings, a plurality of first feed channels connecting the first die cavity to the first extrusion openings along the dispensing edge, and a plurality of second feed channels connecting the second die cavity to the second extrusion openings along the dispensing edge. The first and second extrusion openings arranged along the dispensing edge to provide an interfacial zone having portions of the first extrusion openings disposed between portions of the second extrusion openings. The die is used in an extrusion system and a method for making a multilayered article.
