Abstract: Equipment for exchanging power, in shunt connection, with an electric power network. A reactive impedance element and a voltage source converter provide mutual connection in series. The power network has a nominal voltage of a fundamental frequency and a given phase position. The converter is intended for generating a fundamental-tone voltage within a control range which limits the amplitude of the fundamental-tone voltage. The control range limits the amplitude of the fundamental-tone voltage to a value that is lower than the nominal voltage of the power network and comprises generation of a reactive component of the fundamental-tone voltage with a phase position that either coincides with the phase position for the voltage of the power network, or that deviates by 180° electrically form the phase position for the voltage of the power network.

Abstract: In an apparatus for control of controller equipment for damping power oscillations in a power line, the controller equipment is serially connected between a first connection point and a second connection point in the power line in an electric network for alternating current. The controller equipment is adapted to serially generate in the power line, dependent on a control order, a damping voltage for damping power oscillations in the power line. Controlling equipment receives sensed quantities of the power network and forms a phase deviation dependent on these quantities. The phase deviation is the difference between a phase angle of a first voltage at the first connection point and a phase angle of a second voltage at the second connection point. The controlling equipment forms the control order dependent on the time rate of change of a function of the phase deviation. The control order controls the controller equipment to generate the damping voltage which feeds an active power in the power line counteracting changes in active power in the power line which are associated with power oscillations.

Abstract: Un dispositivo (2) para el control del flujo de potencia en una línea de transmisión de CA trifásica (L2, La, Lb, Lc) , que comprende para cada una de sus fases (a, b, c) un transformador (12a, 12b, 12c) con un devanado primario (121c) y un devanado secundario (122c) , siendo el objetivo del devanado secundario su conexión en serie en la fase respectiva de la línea de transmisión, y siendo el objetivo del devanado primario suministrársele un voltaje que depende de una parte controlable del voltaje entre las otras dos fases de la línea de transmisión, caracterizado por que el dispositivo comprende, para cada una de las fases de la línea de transmisión, un circuito en serie con un primer terminal (T1a, T1b, T1c) y un segundo terminal (T2a, T2b, T2c) y un punto de conexión (Ja, Jb, Jc) , comprendiendo el circuito en serie un primer elemento de impedancia reactiva (21a, 21b, 21c) con una reactancia fija que se conecta entre el primer terminal y el punto de conexión, y un segundo elemento de impedancia reactiva (22a, 22b, 22c, 23a, 23b, 23c) con una reactancia variable que se conecta entre el punto de conexión y el segundo terminal, en el que uno de dichos terminales se acopla a la fase respectiva en la línea de transmisión y el otro de los terminales se acopla a un terminal en cada uno de los otros dos circuitos en serie, de tal modo que, para todas las fases, o bien el primer o bien el segundo terminal se acopla a la línea de transmisión, y el devanado primario se acopla entre los puntos de conexión en los otros dos circuitos en serie.
