Abstract: PURPOSE: To perform a partial load operation by reducing a fuel quantity in a second combustion chamber to zero, maintaining the outlet temperature of a first turbine almost constant, and maintaining a fuel quantity in a first combustion chamber almost constant during the reduction of the fuel quantity in the second combustion chamber so as to maintain the inlet temperature of the first turbine almost constant. CONSTITUTION: A gas turbine compresses sucked air 2 in a compressor 1, and the compressed air 3 flows into a high-pressure combustion chamber 4. A high-pressure turbine 5 is operated downstream of the high-pressure combustion chamber 4, heated gas 6 is partially expanded and exhaust gas 7 is discharged. The exhaust gas ignites fuel in a low-pressure combustion chamber 8. At this time, a fuel quantity 9 in the low-pressure combustion chamber 8 is reduced to zero, and the outlet temperature of the high-pressure turbine 5 is maintained approximately constant. In addition, a fuel quantity 4a in the high-pressure combustion chamber 4 is maintained approximately constant during the reduction of the fuel quantity 9 in the low-pressure combustion chamber 8, and the inlet temperature of the high-pressure turbine 5 is maintained constant. Thus, the low-pressure combustion chamber 8 performs a partial load operation up to 40% of the high-pressure combustion chamber 4.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the unharmful absorption of an excessive temperature increase following the effect of adjustment by changing the entire load reduction of a gas-turbine group with maximum load efficiency, the group being run by a sequential combustion system, and by means of entrance temperature interference in both turbines during load reduction introduction. SOLUTION: At the time of partial load running, an entrance temperature into both turbines, i.e., a HP(high pressure) turbine 6 and a LP(low pressure) turbine 10, is reduced to 5% of a rated load. Then, the guiding blade of a compressor 1 is adjusted until a load is below 50%, and the entrance temperature into the HP turbine 6 is kept constant during the adjustment of the guiding blade of the compressor 1. In this case, the entrance temperature into the LP turbine 10 is lowered so as to prevent the exit temperature of the LP turbine 10 from exceeding a designed rated value. After the adjustment of the guiding blade of the compressor 1, the entrance temperature into both turbines 6 and 10 is lowered first in the LP turbine 10, and then in the HP turbine 6 by shifting a phase. Thus, NOx , and CO emission is reduced to a minimum.
